Last year, our jewellery boxes filled up with additions that made us feel refreshed, and definitely trendy. Many of us, tried out pieces that we did not imagine we can wear and to some point changed not only our looks but our way of thinking. This year is coming up with new key jewerly trends set to take shape in our day- to- night looks.
It seems that last year’s highlight, the choker, has no intention of coming out this season as it still stands out to all runways. It’s velvet version takes a step forward to a chunky chain as best seen at Emilio Pucci Pre-Fall/Winter 2017-2018. Statement necklaces with details such as raw stones and minerals are gaining ground providing an eye catching result to minimal dresses.
Mismatched, single long earrings in their most asymmetry character, ear cuffs and the never go- out- of- style hoops are the most fashionable approach of ear embellishment this season. The time has come when fashion commands us to forget the classical way of wearing ear ornaments and transfer into a rebel in our own experimental way.
Bracelets and cuffs are popping up in our clothing and this year are worn just above the elbow or over gloves. The more bulky and geometrical, the more in vogue.
It’s the killer detail that make all the difference. Enamel pieces in comparison to the above ones, are the new player this year which is destined to play a major role in the jewellery map and is about to be seen everywhere bringing light to any day- to – night look whilst reminding us all the Persian technique of fusing liquid glass in bright colours to metals.
